BlackBerry Bold won't connect V4

My BlackBerry Curve will connect to the BlackBerry Desktop under Parallels but I can't get my new Bold to connect to the BlackBerry desktop. Parallels indicates its connected but the desktop registers nothing.

Has anyone else had this problem and is there a solution to this.
 
How are you trying to connect? USB or Bluetooth?

The last time I tried to update my 8703e through the Desktop manager on my VM, the USB connection went down on me at an inopportune time in the reload phase, resulting in a bricked device (had to revive it using a real PC).

I'm using USB. It works fine with my Curve 8310 but not my Bold. VMWare works fine though so I've gotten to using that. Just odd it doesn't work with Parallels.
