Boot Camp - Unable to connect Floppy Disk 1

I have just tried to convert my Boot Camp partition so that I can run it in OS X.

Well everything appeared to be fine but after the first boot I checked the network configuration. I didn't change any settings, but when I tried to exit the configuration screen it disabled the floppy disk.

I though no worries but now I'm getting an error message saying "unable to connect floppy disk 1" when I boot up! Everything appears to be in order but I'm worried that the conversion didn't fully take effect.

Can someone please shed some light on the matter? Thanks!
 
Well the message no longer appears when I boot up my Boot Camp under Parallels. Bizarre but I guess I should be glad everything appears to be working?
 
I am seeing the same thing. Just two irritating dialog boxes when I start up Parallels:
Unable to connect Floppy Disk 1.
Unable to connect CD/DVD 1.

Would be nice to get rid of those...anyone have a hint?

Error message is back again!

Sadly the error message has popped back up...

Anyone with an idea as to why this is happening? I noticed that there is a Floppy Disk Controller installed in Windows | System. Is this the problem?

I've already switched off the floppy disk in Parallels configuration... don't know what else to do! :(
 
Hi cap_n,
please try to remove Floppy Disk from virtual machine configuration (it is not dangerous, virtual Floppy Disk can be recreated any time).
