Boot camp volume & repeat of Parallels tool installation:3150 problem

Here we have two major problem.

We are working with large installation of MacBook with Parallels for Bootcamp volum.

We are installing WinXP SP2 enterprise edition to BootCamp and want to use that volume from Parallels and Bootcamp.

We have two major problem which some of you already talked in here.

1) When we start MacBook, We have Mac volume & PC Volume on desktop.

2) When We boot from Parallels 3150, It is asking password for admin account.

3) When we enter it, we have following message.
" Unable to open disk image BOOT CAMP!"

4) When we "OK" it, The Bootcamp volume dissapear.

5) when we satrt to play Parallels again, we ahave warning message that it is installing Parallels tools.

6) When we restart WinXP again, We see same Parallels tool installation again and again.

How can we fix this problem?
 
Unplug your usb cables from the computer until after Windows starts booting. You will get a message if you have an external drive plugged in, for sure. I'm sure they will have this fixed in the next official release.

The "message" doesn't say it's installing Parallels Tools. It says it's *** I N I T I A L I Z I N G *** drivers that have been installed in order for Parallels to run the Bootcamp partition. That message is supposed to come up every time you restart Parallels. These are not the drivers for XP Tools, they are different.

Macbook was not connected to any other USB cable at the time.

If there is way to fix this now, I would like to know how.

I understand that this could be fixed at next revision but I wish this problem is fixed ASAP.

OK, you've got a Macbook, and you're not using any external USB devices or any other devices externally, correct? So it must be a software problem. So you're gonna have to do some stripping down until you find the problem. This is BETA software, so you have to treat this as if you're the only one experiencing the problem, especially since you haven't got any real answers to your perdicament.

Obviously, the software ought to be working on your system already, but you've done something or you have something installed that is tweaking the conditions so things aren't happening as they're designed to. If others were there we could probably tell you what to do. But since that's not possible, and the software should be working, you are really gonna have to figure this out alone. But you can do the next guy that experiences your problem (if somebody actually does and thinks to come here) if you post you solution here when you find it.

Immediately, what I would do is backup my C: drive, delete the Bootcamp partition with the Bootcamp Assistant, then create new one, restore the saved backup of the drive, uinstall Parallels with the included uninstall app, delete the Bootcamp VM and make a new one. I would be assuming Parallels thinks something is corrupted.

If that doesn't work, then I would assume something on the C: drive is the problem. Boot up in native Bootcamp, and run some disk checking using the Drive Management tool in My Computer (right click on the top left icon on the My Comptuer Title Bar and select Manage, and then Drive Management).

It may just be as easy as deleting your current Bootcamp VM file (not the partition) and creating a new one. That happened once to me. Before you create a new one, go into Bootcamp natively, into Help Mode, then shut it down, then go into Parallels and make a new Bootcamp VM set.

The rest, you'll have to return and report, or figure out on your own.
