I have a problem with booting from a bootable CDROM or ISO image. The condition is when I have an already working Windows installation on the virtual hard disk. I confirmed that boot from CDROM first is selected in preferences and the cdrom is connected. I am able to boot the same cdroms and images when I create a blank VM without a hard disk, so the media is working.

I am running parallels 5540 beta on Leopard.

    Thanks for your assistance,
    Sam

    Yep, me too.

Anyone else got an answer ? It seems to follow the VM in that I moved the VM to another machine which had parallels on it (a newer version as well) and the VM still wont boot off CD. The bios POST screen shows, briefly, that the BOOT FROM CD....FAILED.

But the cd works on real machines and other blank VM's
