    Hello,
How do I get bridged mode networking to work on an Ubuntu 20.04 x86-64 VM on Parallels 16 on a 2020 MacBookPro 16" with WiFi. I was expecting this to 'just work' on Parallels. In fact, not having to toy around with networking stuff is the reason I decided to spend on Parallels (rather than use VirtualBox or Qemu).

    Thanks and regards,
    Pranav

    Hi,
did you try Windows VM with bridged to WiFi? Does it work? Alternatively you can try to assign static IP address in VM and checks whether it works.

Either you met the issue with unconfigured Dhcp-Client-Id in Linux, or router blocks several IPs on one WiFi connection (for example there are options on some routers that does ARP proxying, which prevents bridging VMs), or (case of some simple routers) router doesn't handle dhcp-client-id correctly.

    About Dhcp-Client-ID: https://download.parallels.com/desktop/v12/docs/en_US/Parallels Desktop User's Guide/33309.htm
