I'm struggling big time with a weird configuration issue with Parallels 4 for Windows and my Windows XP VM.
I have an application that uses Active FTP to communicate which is fine when I'm connected to my home wireless network as Bridged Networking and the Default interface works a treat. If I select Shared Networking or Host-Only then Active FTP simply won't work.
Now if I'm on the road wireless isn't an option so I use my 3G connection which means I have to reconfigure the VM to use the Bridged Networking > Parallels Virtual NIC 0. However using this configuration Active FTP no longer works.
I was under the impression Bridged Networking allowed Active FTP but this is clearly not the case.
Note: Firewall is turned off
I'm ready to pull the pin and ask for my money back unless I can find a solution to the issue.
