Hey, so I'm running windows 2000 on a macbook pro and parallels desktop for the mac (3188). I know there's at least one other person on the discussion board who is trying without success so far to use the Brother PED-Basic usb card reader/writer. It reads the sewing/embroidery industry's infuriatingly expensive tiny memory cards. The cards themselves are gigantic by today's standards, but they hold anywhere from 512k or smaller to about 2M. They're a completely custom size and pin configuration, so you can't get around using their hardware. Very annoying from an end-user's perspective. Anyway, I've been hoping to ditch the $20 PC I bought from goodwill back to goodwill with a linux install on it or something if I can get Parallels to see the USB card reader/writer for my embroidery machine.

It's not like I've got any kind of unreasonable ideas that you're intentionally withholding functionality from us.
This is an unusual device, and without having one in person, I could understand why you wouldn't be able to get it to work. I hope that USB prober profile is a little more helpful than normal, but.. thanks for your consideration.
