BSOD in guest XP

I recently ran the compressor utility
This worked but led to problems with virtual memory message
I made the changes in vm management as in this thread: http://kb.parallels.com/entry/64/468/

Now when I restart I get a BSOD (attached screenshot). I can boot into safe mode, and was able to run chkdsk. This did not help.

I tried to do repair install as in this thread: http://kb.parallels.com/entry/63/336/0/

Everything works until I try to run the repair: Windows asks for the administrator password. I never set an administrator password and windows will not accept a blank password here.

Any suggestions?

Parallels build 5564
Macbook with 4GB ram
OSX 10.5.2

logged in with safe mode; changed admin password from blank to defined;
tried the recovery console with no effect

eventually was able to do repair install of win xp which corrected the issues
