Bug in prleth.sys driver - Windows guest OS crashing (BSOD)

Hi,

Looks that I hit the bug in the Ethernet driver of the Parallels - in some situations it's crashing the guest Windows (XP) OS - BSOD (Blue Screen of Death).

After installing the Cisco VT Advantage (video conferencing support for Cisco Call Manager) as soon VT Advantage starts - it's crashing the Windows Guest OS to blue screen of death.

After investigation I see that the crash occurs as soon as VT Advantage calls it's CDP driver (to handle Cisco-proprietary L2 Cisco Discovery Protocol) which tries to communicate with the Parallels Ethernet driver.

Looks that this problem is specific to Parallels - VT advantage works just fine under Fusion.

Anyone seen something like this?

Cisco VT Advantage + iSight + Macbook pro = Blue-Screen-Of-The-Death

Same issue down there!

Setup:
Model Name: MacBook Pro 15"
Model Identifier: MacBookPro2,2
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.33 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache (per processor): 4 MB
Memory: 2 GB
OS: Mac OS 10.4.10 (Tiger)
Parallels Desktop 3.0 Built 5160
Guest OS - Windows XP PRO SP2

Isight is working fine with my Win XP PRO.
Cisco VT Advantage installation is ok.
But I soon as run it when the laptop is connected to my Cisco IP Phone (7970) via ethernet, it generates the BSOTD - error PRLETH.SYS

Tried to add more memory RAM + Video but no change.

Please Advice.

Since Parallels ethernet driver crashes, I would try replacing it with a Realtek 8029 driver.
Please try this:
1) Open the start menu and go to Control Panel.
2) If you can switch it to classic view, do so.
3) Double-click "System"
4) Go to the "Hardware" tab and click "Device manager".
5) Open the "Network adapters" and double-click Parallels Network adapter.
6) Go to the "Driver" tab and select "Update driver"
7) Say "Not this time" to a windows update prompt, choose to install a driver from a specific location. Click on "Don't search, I will choose the driver to install"
8) Select a Realtek RTL8029(AS) ethernet adapter (universal). Or you can try any other Realtek 8029 adapter.
9) Install this driver, restart the virtual machine and see if the crash persists.
