Shared Networking wasn't working for me after upgrading from build 1970 to 3036.
To solve it, follow these steps:
1. Shut down your VM.
2. Quit Parallels.
3. Go to Apple Menu/System Preferences/Networking
4. You should receive a message about "new network ports available". Click OK.
5. Reboot your mac.
After this has been done, everything should work.
Note: Parallels sometimes will tell you to do step 5, but it fails to tell you to do steps 3 and 4, which appear to be the key.
