Build 3188--Memory and Speed problems

I'm running a Mac Pro Quad 3.0 ghz with 6 gigs of RAM, a 120 GB fully patched XP SP2 partition on a second hard drive. I have allocated 1.2 GB RAM to Parallels. I don't run boot camp or Coherence.

I am finding that applications are taking far longer to launch under 3186 and 3188 than under previous builds; and that Parallels memory usage is growing steadily after launch to consume the full amount allocated in the configuration editor, no matter how many applications are running. If I suspend, the memory is reduced to something more reasonable, but then begins growing again. This is like the memory leak that many complained about in a previous beta, but in this case, the usage doesn't grow beyond the allocation.

I've not had any crashes so far.
 
Same problem for me. Mac Pro Quad 2.66 ghz with 2 gigs of RAM and X1900XT. I have allocated 1 GB RAM to Parallels. I don't run Coherence and don't have Bootcamp installed.
After some time in Parallels, it's to slow, so I have to reboot the Mac to cancel the effect of this memory leak.
 
Mac Pro gets heated

I too am facing the same issue with Build 3188 ( never had paralles installed before, so don't know about the prior builds)
When I start parallels on my new Mac bokk pro with 2.33 Gz and 2 GB ram, and work on windows XP within a few minutes my mac book pro gets heated and paralles takes hell of a memory.
Was this the same issue for prior builds?
Is there any altenative for using paralles i.e any other vendors that you have tried?

Weird...

I decreased the RAM from 512 to 256, and I see a marked improvement in both OS X and Windows XP. Faster boot up, responsive times, etc. Does anyone know where I can download an earlier build of Parallels? The latest one is terrible, and I don't use Coherence.
