[build 4124] Windows XP not responding to keyboard / mouse input

I upgraded to version 3, but now Windows isn't responding to keyboard / mouse input anymore. It does show a "Welcome to the Found New Hardware Wizard" though. It used to run just fine.

I kind of need to use it for some development things, so any help would be much appreciated.

Try to uncheck your mouse and keyboard in Devices->USB
Also try to reinstall Parallels Tools

I didn't have any keyboard / mouse checked. I tried to check it just to see if that would work, which it didn't. I can't (re)install Parallels Tools without having some sort of input that I can use to go through the installation.
 
Shut down your VM, then go to Actions->Prepare Parallels Tools Upgrade

I selected "Prepare Parallels Tools Upgrade", which reports that it did prepare succesfully, but still no joy. Do I need to do something else?
