I think I'm understanding what 2x application server is accomplishing, but where I become fuzzy is on licensing. Does this product act as a middleman like WinConnect VX or do I still have to pay for both CALs and TS CALs for my Linux desktops?

Is this product just a Value ADD to Windows TS?

    :?: Thanks

ApplicationServer requires full Windows Terminal Services, this requires that you purchase Terminal Services CALS from microsoft.

Thank you for the information... these layered licenses can get rather confusing.

I understand that every machine that will connect to a Window 2003 Server needs a CAL.
But when I have a look a the "Terminal Server Licensing", NO single license has been issued. Dispite having tested the 2X Application server from several PCs.

So if Terminal Server Licensing doesn't think TSCAL licenses has been used, one could argue that none is needed, couldn't one?
