Can I move vm images to another location after install

Hi, I would like to move my vm-images from /Users/<myusername> to /Users/Shared
so other users on my computer can use the vm images also.

Can I move my existing images to that directory after I have installed various guest OS's or is the current path somehow encoded into the config etc
