I copied this, since I have the same problem: I've installed one of the first private beta's of Parallels Server, and have removed it some time ago. Now, while trying to install Desktop 3.0 the installer says : "please uninstall Parallels Server and try again". As far as I know everything was uninstalled, but to make sure I've downloaded Server again and executed the uninstaller, rebooted my Mac: still the same. Running the uninstaller again shows no error like it can not find Server... It wil just execute the uninstall procedure again and again and again. I've also did a manual rm of all the Parallels files (accoring to another posting) but still no luck: Desktop won't install. What is preventing Desktop to install? How to find out? HELP!!!!
