    So initially I could not connect to my host via Networking in Finder, or at least could not connect to any of the Host's external USB drives.
    So I changed my config.ini
    from:
    Network.Type=1
    to
    Network.Type=2 (gives me IP in VM with same subnet, i.e. 192.168.10.x, host is 192.168.10.34)

    Then was able to mount to external drives, even had them added to Login Items and every time the VM came up, the mounts came up fine. Then it got flakey, and now nothing works. The Network item in Finder sidebar shows my Host (M2 Mac mini FYI), but If I click it, it can't connect, never mind show any of its drives. I even made VM IP static, but didn't help.

    Tried to KB here, but no luck:

    SURELY I should be able to get back to my HOST.

    Anyone?

    So I just rebooted the Host and things went back to working... some kinda of bug, but rebooting is not a long term strategy.

    ... and back to not working just a few minutes later...
