Reading all the many problems people have with Parallels, I have to wonder if it's even worth it at all.

I have a Macbook Pro and I'm trying to install Windows XP/SP2. It keeps stopping suddenly, after flashing a black warning screen (like a DOS screen) that moves so fast I can't even tell what it says. Then it says Windows has stopped, and if I click on the green arrow (that looks like a "play" button) I get another black DOS screen that says boot from hard disk. I think it's saying the creation of the VM has stopped.

I have deleted what little pieces of Windows Parallels seems to have succeeded in installing, uninstalled Parallels and reinstalled, etc. etc. I've done this at least 3 times.

Does anybody have any idea what this could be about?

    Thanks in advance
    Colleen
