Cannot start Parallels right after boot

It takes a while after booting up the machine for the parallels network adapter to get an IP address. It appears that Parallels will not start before this happens? I get an error message trying to start up the application suggesting a driver is not properly installed. As far as I can tell it is related to the network adapter.

This is exactly the same sort of issue I am having with other Kernel extensions. It seems the delay in getting this IP, or whatever it is doing, is bringing the system to a standstill whilst it slllooowwwlly performs its task. While it is "doing it's thing", other kernel extensions are not loading, which is causing issues for me with other items (such as the Intego suite). See this thread:

My solution was to delete the Parallels Adapter. This results in Host-Only Networking not being available, but Internet connections work fine.
