I recently installed Parallels Desktop 3.0 as well as windows xp under an HD image file. The suspend function is grayed and when I quit the application I get this message.

"This virtual machine cannot be suspended because it is running the operating system installed on the Boot Camp. Use the standard shutdown function of the guest operating system to stop the virtual machine (on Windows click "Start - Shutdown" in the system menu)"

Am I confused? Isn't boot camp when you install and run an OS natively? From what I can gather I could import a boot camp and boot from it using parallels, however that is NOT what I am doing. I built an hd image on my mac drive and installed xp using the automated assistant.

Is there something very simple I've overlooked? Any suggestions

    Thanks
