cannot use mouse in parallel 11

since upgrading to Parallels 11 and Win10 I cannot use the mouse. ctrl- alt activate the mouse but trying to use it it disappears again.
 
I'm having mouse problems too on Windows 10 Upgrade (from Windows 7) using Parallels 11 on my 2011 MacBook Pro. I cannot get left-click on the mouse to work either with the Start Button or apps pinned to the task bar. Right-clicking the mouse works. The mouse worked for a few days until yesterday when left-click fails. Sometimes I see the Start button disappear then return after left-clicking. Shutdown and restarted Windows 10 a number of times with no change. Tried the Windows 7 VM that I upgraded to Windows 10 and the mouse works fine, both left- and right-clicks.

Did come across this article at https://techjourney.net/keyboard-mouse-not-working-after-upgrading-to-windows-10/ which implies it might be a USB mouse driver problem. I use the standard Apple magic mouse so I have no idea how and if changing the USB device drivers for Windows 10 could be attempted. What to do?

Thank God for snapshots! Restored my Windows 10 Upgrade snapshot taken a few days before the mouse left-click started not working. Deleted Xara Designer 9 and installed Xara Photo 9 as before. Everything works now... Still don't know what caused the mouse to act up,, but the snapshot restore helped get me get over it. CASE CLOSED FOR ME!?!?!?
