Can't connect to internet

I am a new parallels user with a MacPro. I am connected to the internet with a DSL through SBC (now ATT&T) on the Mac. I have tried shared networking and bridged networking. I an unable to connect with the internet from Windows XP in parallels.

I imagine that this question has been answered before but I have been unable to find an answer.
