Can't copy large media files to Mac disks

Sorry, couldn't find any answer by searching the forum.

I use the latest Parallels for Mac 7.0.15106 with Windows 8 Release Preview 8400. When I generate a media file on disk C:, and then afterwards try to copy this to my shared MacOS 10.8 disks, the I don't get an error message, but the CPU gets busy and nothing happens. A 2 GB media file of the same type can be copied fine.

Does this have to do with an implicit 4 GB boundary, and if so, is there any workaround?
