    Running Parallels Server on OS/X with Parallels Server Transporter build 2150
    Running Parallels Transporter build 2150 on WinSBS 2003 server box.

    First time I tried transporting Windows box from OS/X it seemed to work ok
    Rebooted the server (no changes made), fired up transporter to remake the VM and now I get "an error occured while transporter was collecting info about source computer - cannot find necessary driver"
    HELP ! Tried reinstalling Transporter on Windows box & rebooting - same problem

    Log file from Windows box below:

    We need following info

    1. .log files of Parallels Transporter and Parallels Transporter Agent from both operations systems:
    * Mac: Users/<user name>/Library/Logs/Parallels/transporter_cl.log
    * Windows: %TEMP%\Parallels Transporter\transporter_xx.log (enable "Show hidden files and folders" in the folder options in order to see hidden log). For example:
    o for Windows XP, 2000, 2003: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Temp\Parallels Transporter\transporter_xx.log
    o for Vista: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp\Parallels Transporter\transporter_xx.log
    2. Screenshot of Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenance -> Administrative Tools -> Computer management (on left side of the window) from transported system;
    3. Information about file system type on the external drive, if the customer uses external drive to copy transported VM to Mac HD.

    4. Any available related entries in Application and system logs

    Hi
    I think the Mac is irrelevant here since the problem can easily be recreated by running Transporter on the Windows computer. Attached - screenshot showing exact error message, disk management in Computer Management (I assume this is what you meant), logs as per your message. There are no events logged in Event viewer.
    No external drive is used as we haven't got that far.
    FYI - VMWare converter works with no problem
    Thanks
    Mike

    Hey Mikelj, I ran into the same problem just today. I'm going through the registry of my windows machine to try and remove all instances of parallels transporter and then reintall from scratch. Maybe this will fix that problem while we wait to hear back from John. I'm using Parallels Transporter for Mac/Windows release 1456 which is the latest that comes with Parallels Mac.

    After deleteing the folder in Program Files and removing all traces of transporter from the registry, I was able to copy via the network again. I think there might be some left overs that don't get removed properly with an uninstall. But I'll let the experts verify that or not.

    I am experiencing the same problems with build 3540. I deleted all references to parallels transporter in the registry, and have reinstalled multiple times, but no joy.

    Cheers,

    Joel

    Same here

    Cleaned up and reinstalled and still not working. I have tried on two different W3k3 servers same problem on both.
