Can't get IP on work network

First of all, it's really great to see such progress with each release. Great work, folks!

I'm having a problem with RC2 on my work network. Using the default network adapter (in this case Ethernet) I can't get an IP in my Windows XP virtual machine - I get a 169.x.x.x IP address.

I'm guessing this is something related to my work network as this seems to work fine at home over wireless, but I was wondering if anyone has seen this issue?

Is there anyway to get Parallels to *share* the internet connection like Virtual PC does?
 
I'm having the same problem, and I'm starting to wonder whether its not the fault of the DHCP server on my crummy Dell WiFi router.

If you manually set the IP to one on your local subnet, everything should work great. I'm trying to figure out a way around this myself, but in the meantime that works for me.
