cant get to PCs on home network

Just installed parallel on imac os 10.5.1. Internet works great but cant get to other pcs at home. I have one PC connected to router via ethernet, and another via wireless. All PCs work fine. Mac can access PC files, but Mac parallel winddows xp cannot see other pc files. Just as an aside, I cannot get my PCs to see mac files, although Mac can see PC files. THis may not be germane to my problem.

I tried setting up the vlan via parallel's instructions (apple system prefs, network, add a new vlan, but it didn't help. Mac windows can see mac files ok, but not networked pc files.
