I would like to install a free Linux system, but the Installation Assistant says "To get a list of available appliances, please connect your Mac to the internet." The only problem is that my Mac IS connected to the internet. What can I do?
Hello, we've received your reply: Looks like the problem was a virus called ExploreSearchResults. I got rid of it by following these instructions Internet works much better now ... Thanks!! Thanks a lot for sharing your results with us.
I have the same problem: Installation Assistant says I am not connected to the internet, Parallels can't check for updates, can't download Tools. But laptop is connected. Read the articles about ExploreSearchResults, but this virus and its various crumbs do not appear on my computer. What now?
I have tried the suggestions here: https://forum.parallels.com/threads/network-initialization-failed.345647/page-11#post-878314 and https://forum.parallels.com/threads/network-initialization-failed.345647/page-12#post-878383 but neither worked.
