Can't install The Feeble Files game in windows 98

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to install a game called The Feeble Files which is an old game for windows 95/98.

The problem is it requires Directx 5 and will not run in XP. I have installed windows 98 and the game (along with directx 5) but when I run the game I get the error "Cannot create Direct Sound Object!".

Is there a way around this? I noticed the directx tick box is greyed out for my windows 98 virtual machine.
