Can't install XP

I've installed Parallels from a cd and can't seem to get XP to work on it. It goes through the setup process (installing XP from a cd too), and when it gets to "starting windows" an error message is displayed and the window closes (before I can read it).

I was lead to believe that it was my copy of XP that was the problem, but I've just exchanged it at the store I bought it from and it's still not playing!

Any ideas?
 
Please delete current VM folder if you do not have any data in it from Documents/Parallels, and start new installation using Custom method
