can't see network on win2000

I am running build 4.0.3810 running under Leopard.

I have two guest operating systems installed: WIN98 and WIN2000.
My gateway is working as my DHCP server and OSx is working quite happily - connecting to the internet as can be seen by this post.
I have left Parallels network settings as the default and the network devices as Default adaptor (bridged).

WIN98 is working quite happily - Internet Explorer connects quite happily to the internet. I can ping the MAC from WIN98. I can't ping the WIN98 machine from OSx and it doesn't appear under Network in Finder.

WIN2000 doesn't see the network at all. I can't ping anything, not even the gateway. I just get Request timed out. I can't see the VM from OSx or WIN98. The device driver is Parallels Ethernet Adaptor and is reported as working correctly. I have TCPIP on WIN2000 set for fixed IP addresses in the same way as for WIN98.

I had this all working very happily until I upgraded to Parallels 4.

Solved - but I don't know why!

I went into VM configuration, deleted the network adaptors, and re-installed them. Suddenly, everything started working correctly. I did the same thing with the WIN98 VM. Although this was seeing the local network, and getting out to the internet, it was not being seen by OSx. After the re-install it became visible - like WIN2000.
