can't see third hard drive in windows xp install

I added a 3rd hard drive. It shows up in device manager. However, I cannot see it in windows explorer as a new drive. It also shows up when i put parallels in windows mode and all 3 hard drives are visible.

please, tru to perform the following: go to Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Computer Management->Disc Management. You can see your 3rd drive there. All you have to do is to format it bacause it's new and empty, right?

am I right about emptiness of the drive?
Then, you choose it in the Disc Management, right-click it and choose Format.
