Can't upgrade from build 3188 to v3.0

Hi -

I just bought v3.0 and when I try to install it I get the following message when selecting the destination volume: "The chosen volume contains software which is newer than the software you are installing". When I proceed to the next step and try to install anyway, I get this message: "You cannon install. There is nothing to install".

I saw a similar issue reported on the forums and the remedy was to remove a parallels related folder in library/receipts. Unfortunately, I don't have one there.

I tried to register for email support but it hasn't worked (that's another story).

Any ideas?

p.s. After visiting this forum and reading all the anti 3.0 messages, I am having second thoughts about this!
