I'm using Parallels 9 with an XP SP3 VM. When I try to install Windows 8 Pro, it downloads the updates, restarts, then reports "Something happened Sorry, we're having trouble determining if your PC can run Windows 8. Please close Setup and try again." The same error message appears when I retry. I've increased the RAM to 4 GB, with no change. I've tried running the Windows 8 Upgrade Advisor, but it won't run. The Microsoft Forum had some suggested solutions that didn't work, and I can't find anything in the Microsoft and Parallels KBs. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
