    hi,
Running parallels on linux and Windows XP in a VM. It installs fine using the OEM disk which came with the machine, but the windows activation is locking down saying that this is not a valid copy of windows. How can I get my copy of windows - a legal copy I own - to be recognized as valid? Surely this can't be the first time this has come up?

I had to call Microsoft on both systems that I installed winxp oem and winxp home oem (dell inspiron computers) under Parallels and Suse 10.0. They give you a 45 digit code to put in that will make it work.
