Can't verify dual-core support in Windows XP

This may just be my ignorance about Windows XP.

I'm running Parallels Build 1848 on a MacBook Pro with 2 gb RAM.

The Windows Task Manager shows only one processor running.

I ran the Intel Processor Frequency ID Utility, and here is what is shows:

The reason I am concerned is this: I had been satisfied with my Windows performance on a subjective level. Then a friend gave me a large spreadsheet that he uses to benchmark laptops. While his AMD laptop recalculated the Excel sheet in 5:30, it took me over 8 minutes on my MacBook Pro. This is quite disappointing - but I thought it might have to do with no using the other core... is that possible?

Thanks.
