CD not working on Mac while Parallels-Win is open

Hi!

Whenever I have Parallels open and I have a cd in the drive, it shows up in Windows, and works fine there. But it doesn't work in Finder on the mac at the same time. So I have to shutdown Windows, close Parallels and then eject the cd and try again. And then it pops open in Finder.

I would like to use stuff from cd's on both Windows and OsX... any ideas?
 
The CD can only work with one OS at a time, unless you share it to from Mac to Windows. To use it in OS X while Parallels is running, go to the appropriate Parallels menu, or the CD icon at the bottom of the guest OS window if you are in window mode, and tell Parallels to disconnect the CD/DVD. The disk should then show up in the OS X Finder.

Thank you for that help. I had tried a lot of methods to try to get the drive to show up in finder.
