CD-Rom not Recognizing or Reading CD

I just installed XP on my MAC. All is installed and working properly, but the CD-Rom. The CD-ROM thinks the windows XP cd is in the drive, but its not. I've tried to "eject" the cd, disabling the cd-rom, and putting in different disks. but it just thinks the windows xp cd is in the drive. How can I get it to recognize the cd I put in the MAC. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
I figured it out. You simply need to ctrl + click on the CD image(from the MAC side) and select default CD-ROM DRIVE. Please post if you have any questions.
