Changed e-mail address, now the e-mail address I log in with, is not the right user??

In a nutshell, my e-mail was MythicFrost at gmail.com, I then changed it to Steelbom at gmail.com, I went to log in with steelbom at gmail.com and my password, and it came up with something about a new nick name, so I put in steelbom.

This account is not the same account though, I visit my old posts, and I can't edit them, I don't know why, I think I've just created a new account, but when I use password retrieval for MythicFrost at gmail.com, it says the e-mail doesn't exist, when I use it for steelbom, it just gives me account details for this account?

I'm a little confused, can anyone help?
