    Hi there:

I am a Mac user and adore my Parallels, which I used when we replaced our office PC with a new Mac. At the time I installed the Windows 7 we had from the Dell PC which of course I keep getting the error message that I'm not running a legitimate version of Windows because the key doesn't match the Dell, etc. I called Microsoft at the time (Oct) and they refused to sell me a new key and wanted me to buy Windows 8, which I do not want and cannot run as we sync with Accountants around the world on Windows 7.

Today it looks like Windows 7 is finally being made available again, but I can get it from NewEgg and it is "Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit - OEM"

I have no idea what OEM means, but can I replace the version of Windows Professional 64-bit with this Home Premium SP1 version without a problem? Do I just reinstall it? Or do I have to uninstall the version I have?

Why can't Microsoft just sell the key to people so they can continue to use what they have?!

    Thanks!
