'Check for Updates' disobeys my settings

Having decided that I don't want to update P4 until current problems are resolved, it is really irritating to be constantly invited to update.

Yes, I unchecked the checkbox: 'Check for updates'

And I rebooted.

Yet STILL i get update reminders.

why?

I get these reminders when I launch P4 and also during sessions.

I request that you remove this feature either:

1. by removing the redundant checkbox and therefore enforce regular checking for updates, or

2. fix the bug that's preventing the checkbox from working
