"Check for updates..." not working

I am using the uk build 1940 of parallels desktop after a clean install of leopard and when I attempt to update to the latest version using "help>check for updates" the progress bar simply doesnt move.

I have attempted to manually download a more up-to-date version of the program only to discover that my activation key wont work. After browsing the forum it seems that the only way to update the uk version is via the inbuilt parallels update.

Any help offered would be greatly appreciated.

We are aware of the issues concerning users accounts recognition through update process. We are working to fix it. Please sorry for the inconvenience caused.

What build did you attempt to download?

Please let me know your key number by Private Message for I could check why it didn't work.
