Checking for Parallels Updates...

When I try to manually check for updates in Parallels, from the Help->Check for Updates... menu by selecting the Check Now... button it launches a window with a progress bar, but the progress bar never updates...I did this a couple times and it never moved. In fact one time I let it run for 20 minutes and the update check never completed.

Has anyone else seen this??? Does anybody in the support group at Parallels know what may be causing this? It seems like the update server is not responding to the request.

ONe additional note, if I first deselect the "Check for update automatically" checkbox and then execute the "Check Now..." button it works just fine. Its only if I press the "Check Now..." while the "Check for update automatically" checkbox is selected.

Even if it appears to work, it may tell you that you have the latest update when you actually don't. (Search this forum for other discussions.) Best just to look at the version you have and see what the latest one being offered is, then download it manually.
