Hi, when I have parallels running and plug my Mac formatted iPod it doesn't show up in OS X. Likewise when I insert a CD to burn, it doesn't show up in OS X, only in Windows. I have to shut down parallels in order to see my ipod or CD in OS X.

Is there a preference for which environment external discs mount to? Thanks for any help. ::I::

in your parallels config, turn off the usb autoconnect and set the cd/dvd drive to be disconnected as default.. (you can "return" devices to osx from windows by using the disconnect function under the devices name in the devices menu, for instance when you put your cd in and it appears in windows, click devices > cd/dvd drive > disconnect and it will appear in osx.. you dont need to keep shutting down parallels.
