Civ4 Crashes

I know Parallels isn't really designed to run games, but I wanted to see if i could at least run strategy-type games that weren't too graphically demanding. I didn't get too far, though, as Civ4 crashes on load with an "illegal 3d device type." Is there any hope of getting it to run under Parallels? I had it up and running under bootcamp...

Unlikely. Civilization IV does have decent graphics requirements, and it will show up in a game later, if not in the beginning.

So I think you should abandon any hope of running it in Parallels at this time. Return to Boot Camp to run it.
