Client Connection Settings Single Farm with Two RDS Servers

I want to implement the "Single Farm with Two Microsoft Remote Desktop Services Servers" Scenario.
I have two type of Clients:
1. internal only: Clients on the same Location connected via LAN
2. external and internal: sometimes they are internal and sometimes external

Ho shloud I configure the Clients, whats the recommendations here?
My Suggestion:
1. Connection: 1. Server internal (type: direct ssl or no ssl?)
2. Connection: 2. Server internal (type: direct ssl or no ssl?)
3. Connection: external address (type: gateway ssl, failover via firewall)
