Coherence does not work at all

Hi Everybody,

I downloaded the new Parallels for Mac Verion yesterday (Mar.06.07). Now I owuld like to use the Coherence function BUT it does not work. I can click on the Coherence bottom as well as in the menu and nothing happens. In Windows XP, i can click on Parallels tools and I see Coherence. It is deactivated BUT i cannot activate it? What can I do? Any trick- like deleting something and install again, or do i need some other settings in the VM. So far i use only the default settings and they work fine. I have to note, that I see eg an explorer symbole in my dock, if i open it in XP BUT I cannot get rid of the background of XP, so I can only use it in the Parallels window. Also the drag and drop option does not work.

coherent.exe needs other .dll driver

I downloaded your cohrent.exe file but it needs some other prlhook.dll, which is also not in the folder... This is also not on the cd, so perhaps you can post the relevant drivers also. The german version has only the drivers for Mouse, Network, Sound and Video. No other drivers. The german version sucks !! :mad:

OH YES!!!! it sucks that hard! i got do do more necessary things like searching for damn exe files! argh!

thinking about it tho, i wonder if theres some registry stuff thats going to need to be done too ?!?

I'm hoping there wasnt a legitimate reason why coherence was left out of the german version ?!?

Thank you darkone. You need to copy the files cohrence.exe and prlhook.dll fron the ZIP-File to the folder C:\Programme\Parallels\Parallels Tools. Then go to Start->Ausführen cmd and in the terminal window type "C:\Programme\Parallels\Parallels Tools\cohrence.exe install". (With the quotes). After this the coherence mode is enabled.
