coherence intermittent

Sometimes when I start XP (SP3) it goes into coherence mode, and sometimes it doesn't. There does not appear to be any systematic reason for this. Usually i start my computer (MacMini 4GB Ram) and then start Windows.

If I try to switch to coherence mode, the option is greyed out.

What gives. This is really frustrating. When coherence works it is very nice, but it has to be there consistently, not just when it feels like it.

How do I go about exploring the possible causes.

can you please try the following when this happens:
1) Post a problem report using 'Help -> Report a problem' and let us know the Problem Report ID here (this will let us analyze logs on your system)
2) Try to switch between different view modes (like Windowed/Fullscreen) - will this cause Coherence switch to appear?
3) Does guest reboot fix the issue, what is success/failure ration in your case - how ofter do you see this problem?
