Bottom line is, if something goes wrong with the Parallels Tools install during the upgrade from 2.5 to 3.0 on your XP Boot Camp partition, you need to revert back to 2.5 -- uninstall the tools, then go back to 3.0 and install the manually.

Thank you for the pointer. I just tried what you did and it worked great. The only difference was that I couldn't run PrlTools.exe directly off D:, it gave me error. So I copied all files onto a folder in C: and ran it there.
BTW, the tools build number is 4124 now.
