I'm totally stumped by this. I sent the below to Parallels support who suggested trying bridged networking. That didn't help, so I'm hoping to get some more eyes on the problem.
Using shared networking, the Windows 2003 Server guest is not able to use the network. It does not even acquire an IP.
In the OSX Network control panel, there is an active "Parallels Host-Guest" adapter with an IP of 10.37.129.2. There is also an active "Parallels NAT" adapter with an IP of 10.211.55.2. I am connected to the internet through Built-in Ethernet, and mac-side applications connect successfully.
Parallels is set to use Shared Networking.
In Windows 2003 Server, the network connection appears as "Parallels Network Adapter" and claims to be connected at 1.0Gbps. However, under "Support," the connection status fields are blank. Clicking repair fails immediately with the message:
Pressing the "Details" button shows an empty page.
Running ipconfig is also not useful:
Attempts to access an internet site fail immediately:
If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them.
