Compressor, VMware and VPC

The Compressor product page states that Compressor is "compatible with virtual machines built with Parallels Desktop for Mac, Parallels Workstation for Windows & Linux, VMware Workstation, and Microsoft Virtual PC for Mac & Windows".

If Compressor can work with Virtual PC and VMware disk images, does that mean Parallels Workstation and Desktop can use these images too?

No, Compressor is a different product. Workstation and Desktop cannot currently use VMware or VPC images.
