I have a Windows Vista VM that is on an external hard drive. It runs fine but I was going to add another Hard disk to the configuration.
The trouble is I have now noticed that I cannot add or remove any hardware to the configuration. The + and - buttons are disabled. Also I cannot amend any existing settings like the amount of main memory and graphics ram.
This is in Parallels Desktop 4.0
I also have an XP VM on my main MacBook HD and it works fine. Is it because its on an external drive?
